Biometric Fingerprint Access from ACSS
Many access control systems require a person to enter identification numbers or supply a tag or card that is read in order for them to gain access to a specific area. This may be sufficient in many cases, but at restricted sites, military installations or suchlike, stricter access control is required; physical biometric fingerprint access control is often used where access must be strictly controlled. ACSS supplies state of the art Sagem fingerprint access systems.
Biometric fingerprint access requires a user to press a finger on a reader that compares the fingerprint with the correct one in its database before granting the user access to the area. The Sagem Morphoaccess 100 is an example of such a reader. The MA100 model can store two biometric templates per user and will accept a maximum of 500 users. However, it can only operate in identification mode. The MA120 can operate in both identification and authentication modes and can read several types of smart cards too. It is able to activate a relay when it is used in standalone mode, in order to open a door, for example.
Several models are available in the Sagem Morphoaccess range, and offer advantages such as local database management, LAN and serial link connection, an optional contactless proximity reader, standalone or networked operation and easy integration in access control systems. Features depend on the model and the application; we have a whole range available for you to choose from.
ACSS can supply these biometric fingerprint access systems and much more. Contact us and we can tell you more about these and all the other security access control systems we offer.
