A remotely controlled electric gate for vehicles and a remotely released pedestrian gate are recommended, so you never have to get out of your vehicle to open a gate upon entry and you never have to leave your home to open a gate to let someone in. Camera-equipped intercoms at these gates allow you to see who wants to enter and you can communicate remotely with them if you wish.
Business access control is a lot more complicated, as a lot more people enter and leave the building. Employees may enter by punching in an access code on a keypad or bringing an encoded key card or tag close to a sensor to release a door. Vehicle access control may be achieved by the same means, combined with CCTV cameras and boom gates.
