ACSS Can Perform A CCTV Installation
CCTV (Closed Circuit TV) is gaining popularity and is used at most business premises and an increasing number of private residences. A professionally installed CCTV installation can be cost-effective and a great crime-fighting tool. A CCTV installation may be worth its weight in gold just for the valuable post-crime evidence they can provide.
The cameras in a CCTV system all broadcast only to a computer or computers within the closed circuit, or network. The live relayed footage may be shown simultaneously in a tiled format on one computer screen or each feed may have its own computer screen on a large video wall, depending on the size and extent of the system. Any number of CCTV cameras may be strategically mounted on the property. Outdoor cameras may be wall-mounted and are weather resistant.
CCTV cameras that are only mounted to focus on one place, such as a business entrance or gate may be fixed, but motorised units that pan can be remotely controlled. Some of the more expensive indoor types are in-ceiling mounted in domes and can pan very rapidly and zoom up to 30x to anywhere in a room. These are typically used in casinos to keep an electronic eye on the gambling tables. Tollgates also used these advanced types of cameras that can quickly zero in on a car that is speeding away, capturing its licence plate.
A competently executed CCTV installation can be a very effective security feature and a great deterrent for would-be burglars. They can be linked to a digital video recorder to record footage that may later be used for reviewing purposes or even in court cases. Contact us for more information.
