CCTV (closed circuit TV) systems can be linked to digital recorders to record surveillance footage, 24 hours per day, seven days a week.  A CCTV system can differ in specification to suit the application.  A simple, black-and-white camera with a low frame rate may be sufficient to keep an eye on your business’ reception desk.  However, tollgates and casinos employ high-resolution CCTV cameras that can be remotely controlled, panning and zooming to any spot instantly.  All of these CCTV systems’ footage can be recorded using digital recorders.

A low-resolution, black-and-white feed does not take up as much storage space and may be sufficient for lower security use.  We offer many digital video recorders from reputable brands such as Sony, Arena, Samsung, TransVu, Rediview and Pelco.  The types of digital video recorders available include embedded digital recorders, PC-based digital recorders, mobile digital recorders and hard drive backup.

A mobile digital video recorder is especially useful and one of our most popular models remains the TransVu model, which offers some excellent features.  Among these are the ability to handle up to eight camera feeds; it also has the ability to simultaneously transmit MPEG-4 while it records in JPEG format.  The video motion detection feature starts recording upon the detection of movement to ensure that you do not miss anything and SMS, GSM, GPRS and UMTS are all supported.  It can record at up to 25 frames per second PAL and 30 frames per second NTSC.
