ImproX 4 Channel UHF Receiver
INTRODUCTION
Impro Technologies currently manufactures
two items of ImproX 4-channel UHF equipment. These are:
- The ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Receiver, and
- The ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Hand-held Tag. These two items
are designed to operate in conjunction with each other
and with an ImproX DT (Door Terminal) and an ImproX PT
(Portal Terminal) to provide access control for up to 4
doors.
The ImproX 4-Channel UHF Hand-held Tag has 4 push-buttons.
Pressing any one of these modulates the UHF carrier with
data, which includes the Tag identification number and the
channel number. The ImproX DT unit typically forms part of
an Impro IXP 200 or IXP 300 / 400 access control system.
The ImproX DT sends the Tag ID data to the associated Controller
in the system, and the system software determines whether
access shall be allowed or denied to that Tag based on pre-stored
system data. The system then instructs the ImproX DT or the
ImproX PT unit concerned to allow or deny entry to that Tag.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ImproX RF 4 - CHANNEL UHF RECEIVER
The ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Receiver is a high technology
OEM product supporting the detection of the ImproX RF 4-Channel
UHF Hand-held Tag.
The ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Receiver is designed to receive
UHF transmissions from the ImproX RF 4- Channel UHF Hand-held
Tag and to detect which of the four buttons on the Tag was
pushed. The UHF Receiver then sends the demodulated Tag identification
information, via the relevant channel, to an attached ImproX
DT or ImproX PT unit.
APPLICATIONS
The UHF Receiver is designed to detect the
operation of an ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Hand-held Tag as
an aid in Vehicular traffic. It allows the use of “anti-pass
back”, as the various buttons can initiate an “in” or “out” reader
operation. The receiver can also be connected to a 4-Channel
Relay output system for use with domestic “garage door/gate” control

The ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Receiver can
be used in conjunction with the ImproX RF 4-Channel UHF Hand-held

Power Supply, as well as other Impro Technologies equipment.
